Who we are

Vatnode (“we”) operates vatnode.com, an early-access service for audit-proof EU VAT validation. Contact: oscar@vatnode.com.

What we collect

• Waitlist: your email address and which product you signed up for, with a timestamp. Legal basis: consent (you submitted the form). Used solely to send you your access invitation and onboarding — no newsletters, no sharing, no selling.
• Site analytics: we run a self-hosted, cookie-free counter that records the page path, referrer domain, and browser language of a visit. No cookies, no IP storage, no cross-site tracking, no third-party analytics services.
• Email: if you write to us, we keep the correspondence to answer you.

Where it lives

Data is stored on our own server hosted in the EU, with nightly backups. We don’t use third-party marketing or analytics processors. Email is handled by our domain mail provider (Porkbun) as processor.

How long

Waitlist entries are kept until launch onboarding completes or you ask to be removed, whichever comes first. Analytics rows contain no personal identifiers and are kept for product statistics.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can request access, correction, deletion, or export of your data, and withdraw consent at any time: email oscar@vatnode.com and we’ll act within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Changes

When the API launches, this policy will be replaced by a full version covering API data processing (VAT numbers, validation logs) before any customer data is processed.
